The Freefly Ember Media Expander seamlessly integrates with your existing Ember camera setup, mounting directly to the camera body. Its primary function is to expand the camera’s storage capabilities by supporting external Freefly SSD media (sold separately). This is crucial for photographers and filmmakers requiring longer continuous recording times, especially in demanding high-frame-rate scenarios where internal storage might be quickly filled. The expander works with various Freefly external SSD models, including those designed for pre-record functionality, which is invaluable for capturing unpredictable high-speed action.
