Description
Freefly Flux L1
The Freefly Flux L1 is a next-generation aerial LiDAR mapping payload engineered to deliver survey-grade accuracy, exceptional efficiency, and outstanding value for professional drone operators. Designed for seamless integration with Freefly’s Astro platform, the Flux L1 empowers surveyors, engineers, utility inspectors, construction professionals, and geospatial specialists to capture highly accurate 3D data faster than ever before.
At the core of the Flux L1 is the powerful Livox Avia LiDAR sensor, capable of collecting up to 7,20,000 points per second with a maximum detection range of 450 meters. Its innovative non-repetitive scanning technology provides superior point cloud density and coverage compared to traditional repetitive scanning systems, making it ideal for mapping complex environments such as power transmission corridors, dense forests, urban infrastructure, construction sites, and rugged terrain.
The system delivers survey-grade performance with up to ±5 cm accuracy and 2 cm precision, enabling professionals to generate reliable topographic models, digital twins, and asset inspection datasets. Integrated dual full-band GNSS receivers support advanced PPK workflows, ensuring precise geolocation even in challenging operating environments.
To enhance project visualization and data quality, the Flux L1 features a built-in 20MP RGB camera that captures high-resolution imagery for colorized point clouds and detailed site documentation. The combination of LiDAR and RGB data allows users to create rich, information-dense models suitable for engineering analysis, planning, and asset management.
Weighing only 715 grams, the Flux L1 maintains excellent flight efficiency while maximizing mission productivity. The lightweight design enables longer flight durations and larger area coverage per mission, helping operators reduce field time and improve overall project turnaround. Data can be processed quickly and exported in industry-standard LAS and LAZ formats, ensuring compatibility with leading GIS, CAD, and point cloud processing software.
Unlike many competing LiDAR solutions, the Flux L1 eliminates recurring software subscription costs, providing a cost-effective and scalable solution for organizations seeking professional aerial mapping capabilities without ongoing licensing expenses.
Whether you’re conducting utility inspections, forestry surveys, construction progress monitoring, mining operations, infrastructure assessments, or high-accuracy topographic mapping, the Freefly Flux L1 delivers the performance, reliability, and workflow efficiency required for demanding professional applications.
