The Zacuto Zamerican Z-Rail Small Arm is a highly versatile and robust articulated arm designed to quickly and securely attach and position accessories on a camera rig. As part of Zacuto’s “Zamerican” line, it is known for its strong single-point locking mechanism and its integration with Zacuto’s proprietary Z-Rail (NATO Rail) mounting system.
The “Small Arm” designation indicates it’s one of the shorter variants, making it ideal for compact setups or for mounting lighter accessories where less reach is required, such as on-board monitors, EVFs, wireless video receivers, or small lights.
The Zacuto Zamerican Z-Rail Small Arm typically features a single-lever locking mechanism that simultaneously tightens all articulation points of the arm (usually two ball joints and a center pivot point). This design allows for rapid adjustment and solid locking of the accessory’s position.
