Zacuto Z-Rail Rod Lock
The Zacuto Z-Rail Rod Lock is a versatile and essential component in a professional camera rigging system, designed to integrate a 15mm support rod directly onto any standard Z-Rail (also known as a NATO rail). This allows filmmakers to expand their camera rigs by adding rod-mounted accessories or extending rod systems parallel to their existing Z-Rail setup.
It’s a foundational piece for building out monitor mounts, EVF mounts (like the Zacuto Axis Mini), battery plates, wireless receivers, or other essential accessories off a camera cage, top plate, or handle that features a Z-Rail.
The Zacuto Z-Rail Rod Lock features two main clamping mechanisms:
- Z-Rail Clamp: This side incorporates a quick-release clamp that securely attaches to any standard Z-Rail, NATO rail, SWAT rail, RED, Picatinny, or Wooden Camera rail. This quick-release design allows for rapid mounting, dismounting, and sliding adjustments along the rail.
