The Zacuto Tornado is a mechanically driven follow focus handgrip designed to pair seamlessly with the Zacuto Z-Drive (sold separately). Engineered for single-operator shoulder-mounted rigs, the Tornado transforms traditional follow focus operation into an intuitive, grip-based motion system—ideal for Zacuto Recoil-style setups where the camera rests directly over your shoulder.
How It Works

Insert into Z-Drive Whip Port
Slide the Tornado into the Z-Drive’s whip port by pressing the round plunger and pushing in until it locks in place. -
Grip and Rotate
Hold the horn handle with your lower three fingers, place your thumb and index finger on the scalloped wheel, and rotate your hand to pull focus. -
Extend Focus Range
For longer pulls, release your forefinger and thumb, rotate your wrist back, and re-grip for continued movement.
