The PROTON 4K 3D is a compact 4K stereoscopic broadcast camera system designed for immersive productions that require precise, synchronized 3D capture. Based on the proven PROTON 4K FLEX architecture, the system combines two perfectly synchronized cameras with a shared CCU, creating true 3D imagery in a streamlined and flexible configuration.
With frame-accurate synchronization, the PROTON 4K 3D maintains precise alignment between both sensors for natural depth perception. Its compact camera heads—each measuring just 28 × 28 × 20 mm—allow optimal interocular positioning while supporting side-by-side or mirrored 3D rig configurations.
The camera system delivers high 12-bit dynamic 4K imaging, offering 2 stops more on mini cameras, along with high sensitivity, low noise, and reduced lighting requirements. It is also HDR compliant, supporting HLG, PQ, and S-Log3 for professional production workflows.
Unified control simplifies operation by providing shared power, shading, and exposure adjustment across the dual-camera system. With 2× 12G HD-BNC SDI connections, RS485 control, and a compact ECU, the PROTON 4K 3D is ideal for cinematic production, immersive content, advanced storytelling, and professional 3D workflows where size, weight, synchronization, and precision are critical.
