The CAN Velo by Betz-Tools is a super compact and highly precise remote control unit, designed as a core component of Betz-Tools’ sophisticated CAN (Controller Area Network) toolset. It’s specifically engineered for precise control of focus, iris, or roll/dutch axis on camera stabilization systems like the Betz-Tools Wave 1, or as a standalone focus/iris unit when connected to BTM CAN Motors.
The CAN Velo by Betz-Tools is an ultra-compact and highly precise remote control unit for professional lens control and camera stabilization. As an integral part of Betz-Tools’ advanced CAN Toolset, it provides intuitive and accurate control over focus, iris, or the roll/dutch axis of systems like the Wave 1 stabilizer. The Betz-Tools CAN Velo features interchangeable handwheels for comfortable use by left or right-handed operators, and these handwheels are switchable into two mechanical turns for precise adjustments. An integrated fluid damping system provides a tactile and smooth operating experience, while a reverse switch offers further operational flexibility.
This versatile remote control unit can be directly connected to Betz-Tools BTM CAN Motors to form a compact, standalone focus/iris unit. It’s designed for quick and easy setups via convenient config switches, eliminating the need for complex menu navigation. The CAN Velo can be mounted on rods ranging from 15mm to 32mm using a new Betz-Tools clamp, or it can be used as a standalone/handheld device. Encased in a lightweight and rigid aluminum housing, the Betz-Tools CAN Velo is a durable and indispensable tool for achieving precise and fluid camera control in dynamic shooting environments, enhancing the capabilities of Steadicam and other professional camera rigs. It also includes a camera On/Off switch for added convenience.
