Atlas Lens – Atlas 1.4x LF Expander Overview
The Atlas 1.4x LF Expander is a high-performance optical tool that allows your Atlas Orion Series anamorphic lenses to fully cover Large Format (LF) and Full-Frame sensors, such as those found in the RED V-RAPTOR™, ARRI Alexa LF, Sony VENICE, and more. Designed specifically for professional cinematographers, this expander increases lens image circle coverage by 1.4x with minimal impact on optical performance, preserving the signature anamorphic look.
Ideal for filmmakers upgrading to large-format cinema cameras, the Atlas LF Expander extends the lifespan and versatility of your existing PL-mount lenses.
Compatibility
Compatible with all Orion Series Lenses 21mm – 100mm, as well as a variety of other zooms and primes.
To confirm whether our 1.4x Expander is compatible with your lens, use this Atlas printable clearance check gauge. If your lens’ rear element clears the gauge, your lens should work with our 1.4x Expander. However, physical fitment does not guarantee perfect optical performance, which is dependent on the optical design of your lens.

• Orion 25mm + 1.4x expander = ~35mm
• Orion 32mm + 1.4x expander = ~45mm
• Orion 40mm + 1.4x expander = ~56mm
