Description
Mo-Sys G30 – Precision Camera Movement for Ambitious Productions
Bring controlled movement to demanding shots with the Mo-Sys G30 gyro-stabilized remote head. Designed for film and broadcast production, this heavy-duty camera head combines three-axis stabilization with a maximum payload of 30 kg, supporting substantial camera and lens packages on cranes and vehicle mounts.
Its oversized direct-drive motors deliver responsive movement across pan, tilt and roll. Built-in encoders support virtual production and greenscreen workflows, enabling camera movement data for VFX work without adding external encoders.
The G30’s distinctive 45-degree frame geometry maintains all three axes of movement and stabilization when the camera points directly downward. This gives operators valuable freedom when composing overhead shots and developing complex crane movements.
Assisted balancing simplifies preparation: operators adjust one axis while the head holds the other two. Independent roll and tilt locks provide additional control during setup and transportation. Through-hole motor cable routing accommodates standard cables and connectors, while the dial console provides tactile controls and clear access to operating settings. Together, these features make the Mo-Sys G30 stabilized camera head a practical choice for productions requiring precise movement, flexible camera access and efficient operation.
Designed Around the Camera Package
The enlarged camera frame provides room for larger rigs and access to camera connections. Engraved markings on sliding components help crews make fine adjustments and reproduce previous setups. Accessory mounting threads and provision for 15 mm rods beneath the frame support additional bracing and lens support.
For telescopic crane work, the shorter, stiffer frame helps reduce flex during movement. Inertia calibration uses camera package length and weight to establish tuning, with settings that can be saved and restored when a previously configured package returns to the head.
An optional built-in radio module enables remote control at distances of up to 300 metres. Operators can also use the digital display console alongside pan bars, cine wheels or a broadcast console, tailoring control to the production.
The head weighs 27 kg, or 30 kg with the wire isolator, and operates on 24V DC. Pan, tilt and roll speeds reach 180° per second, providing the movement capability for both deliberate reframing and faster camera moves. From rig preparation to shot execution, the G30 brings stabilization, payload capacity and practical controls into one professional remote head.
