PROTON FLEX Flexible Broadcast Mini Camera
Unlock new creative possibilities with the PROTON FLEX, a flexible broadcast mini-camera engineered to deliver optimized performance in challenging filming environments. Its compact camera head measures just 28 × 28 × 20mm, while the separate ECU measures 28 × 38 × 11.5mm. Together, the system weighs only 37 grams.
The PROTON FLEX separates the sensor from the video-processing chip and power supply, improving weight distribution and operational versatility. The camera head and ECU can be positioned up to 30cm apart, allowing the system to be integrated into difficult and inaccessible locations.
Designed for creative and innovative filming, the PROTON FLEX delivers high 12-bit dynamic 1080p imaging, up to a 120° ultra-wide viewing angle, and HDR compatibility with HLG, PQ and S-Log3. Its high sensitivity produces low-noise images while requiring less light.
With a wide 4.5V–25V operational voltage range and total power consumption of only 2.5W, the PROTON FLEX provides efficient operation in an exceptionally compact configuration. An integrated stereo microphone and tally light further enhance its capabilities for professional broadcast applications.
This camera is a Proton CAM but with split body:
- The sensor head (stays cold)
- The video processing unit (is warm)
They are separated by a ribbon, up to 30cm.
